I remember the first time I met Chuck. I was at Sally Meadows, still in elementary school. I was asked to do a radio spot for one of my classes, and Chuck came over to run things for the students. I remember just how cool it was when he said I had a "good radio voice." The same person I had heard on the radio with his clear articulation and voice had complimented me on my own. Later in high school, I was offered a part-time job at the radio station where Chuck was still running the morning show. He complimented me on one of the spots I did, and I had the same feeling of pride I had when I was in elementary school. He let me know that everyone made mistakes on the air when I made my own mistakes. We talked about music we enjoyed. We talked about ourselves. He is one of the main reasons I enjoy radio even today, listening or working. Perhaps God will send along my thoughts to him. Thanks for the times, Chuck.
