Chuck was an outstanding friend and co-worker. We will miss him, especially his laughter and ability to make it a better day as he passed our desk. I first meet Chuck at Thomas & Betts where we both were employed. The first impression I had of Chuck was the upbeat attitude he had. I just thought that he projected the upbeat attitude on the radio; well let me tell you, he was just that upbeat kind of person, day in, day out, year round! Becoming friends, I saw a man that was a hard worker, family devoted and was never boastful. He would ask “How are you doing today?” He truly wanted to know how things were going and if you were a little down, he would talk to you until you felt better about things. After Thomas and Betts closed, I had the privilege of working at the radio station with him and I continue to see the dedication that he had for his job. Again, time after time I saw him work with students and visitors that came in to record and it was amazing. Chuck had a calming effect on every one that he met and worked with. This I will miss dearly! Chuck took vacation and never returned to our station, in my mind he is still on vacation in Heaven and what a wonderful place to be, no worries or pain. He is now one of the angels looking out for us. My prayers will be focused on the family and many friends that Chuck had. May God heal your sorrows and comfort you during this sad time. Sincerely, Helen Harris
